"As a helper/caregiver to a friend I had the pleasure of meeting Angel Garza. She was assigned to my friend as a wound nurse/specialist and was AMAZING!! She went above and beyond!! Besides the treatment and care of his wound, she also supported him with his COPD, Congestive Heart, diet, weight management and much much more. 24-Hour Home Care FAQ

There might be a lot of unknowns about 24-Hour Home Care for you. We want to help answer any questions you have.

Home care is non-medical support that helps people remain safe and independent at home. Our caregivers assist with things like bathing, dressing, meals, and companionship—tailored to meet each client’s needs and routine.

Home care focuses on personal and daily living support. Home health, on the other hand, provides skilled medical care like nursing or therapy. We specialize in non-medical home care and often partner with home health and hospice agencies when medical services are needed.
We support older adults, individuals recovering from illness or surgery, veterans, and anyone who needs extra help at home. Whether it’s a few hours a week or full-time care, we’re here to help make daily life easier.
We work closely with each family to match the right caregiver based on personality, skills, and preferences. If needs or preferences change, we can also change who your caregiver is to better align with your unique needs and desires.

Every caregiver goes through national background checks and drug testing, is assessed for skills, and participates in training both upon hire and on an annual basis. We hold our team to high standards to ensure every client receives care that is safe, compassionate, and professional.

Absolutely. Care is personalized from the start—whether you need support in the morning, evenings, or overnight. You’re in control of the schedule, and we’re here to make it work for you.
Yes. We require a minimum of 5 hours per visit, but there’s no weekly minimum. Whether you need care just once a week or every day, we’ll design a schedule that fits your needs and lifestyle.
Life happens, and we’re ready for it. If your regular caregiver is out, we’ll coordinate a trained backup so your care continues without interruption.
Yes. Whether you need help for a few weeks after surgery or just want to try things out before committing long-term, we can create a short-term plan that fits.
Not at all. While most of our clients are older adults, we also support younger individuals living with disabilities, recovering from injuries, or needing help during a life transition.
In some cases, yes—especially if VA benefits or long-term care insurance allows for it. We’re happy to help you explore your options and see what’s possible.
We focus on giving just the right amount of help—never more than needed. Clients can continue doing what they can on their own while we provide support where it’s needed most.
That’s totally normal. If care needs increase—or even decrease—we’ll adjust the care plan to match. We’re flexible and responsive as your situation evolves.
Absolutely. We can support both individuals in the same home with personalized care plans, often at a more cost-effective rate than hiring separate caregivers.
Families often choose 24-hour care for loved ones with Alzheimer’s or dementia, fall risks, complex medical needs, or those who are prone to wandering. We offer a no-cost assessment to help you determine the right level of care.
Our caregivers assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing), mobility support, medication reminders, meal preparation, companionship, toileting, light housekeeping, and more—day and night.
Typically, two to three caregivers rotate across 24 hours. We strive for consistency, so you’ll usually see the same familiar faces each day. This helps build comfort, routine, and trust with your care team.
No. In our 24-hour care model, caregivers work in 8–12 hour shifts and remain awake, alert, and actively available throughout. This ensures constant supervision and responsiveness, especially important for clients with dementia or high care needs during the night.
We do not offer live-in care. In our 24-hour care model, caregivers are fully awake and alert during their shifts, ensuring active support and supervision at all times. Live-in care typically involves a caregiver sleeping in the home, which we believe does not provide the level of attentiveness many of our clients require.
24-hour care may be entirely covered by someone’s long-term care insurance or by paying out of pocket. It may also be partially covered through a veteran’s VA benefits. We can help verify benefits and coordinate with your provider. Unfortunately, Medicare does not typically cover non-medical home care services like these.
