Sometimes I think I’m a social worker because my aunt taught me from childhood that everyone can make a difference. Other times I think it’s because my born pessimist father told me I couldn’t do anything to make the world a better place and I took that as a dare! In the end, it comes down to I really believe each one of us has the ability to help each other and therefore make our little corner of the world a little brighter.

I moved to Colorado when I was 21. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Metro State and spent 5 years working in nursing homes. I then returned to the University of Denver to get my MSW. I have worked in hospice since 2004.

FUN FACTS : In my spare time I love reading, crocheting, writing fiction, and experimenting with new recipes.
