Namaste Hospice was founded in 1998 by a group of seasoned hospice professionals with a combined 40 years of experience in Hospice. The vision of Namaste Hospice came from a belief that flaws existed in the current delivery of hospice care. Lengths of stay in hospice were decreasing. Families frequently wished they had known about and taken advantage of hospice sooner. Furthermore, minorities, the homeless and the mentally ill were underserved. Hospice was equated with death and failure. The founders of Namaste Hospice made it their vision to shift the dominant paradigm regarding the way the world views serious and life-limiting illness, the process of decline and death itself. They believed that death is not a failure, but that dying well, on one’s own terms, is an ultimate success.
On July 1, 2014 Namaste Hospice Care Group LLC d/b/a as Namaste Hospice was sold to Granite Health Care d/b/a as Namaste Hospice to have more resources to provide to our patients. We are following the same vision and mission statement to support our patients and families. We merged with Home Care Solutions and now provide Home Health and Hospice.
More than just a hospice, Namaste Hospice is comprised of different programs to support, educate and advocate for people with a potentially life-limiting or terminal illness. Our Palliative Care program empowers people to define what quality of life means to them. Through education, resource procurement, advocacy, and exploration of truths and wishes, people are able to understand all aspects of their diseases and make informed decisions about how they want to live and die.
Namaste Hospice was founded with the intent to exceed all expectations and empower patients and families to live fully and die well, on their own terms.
NAMASTE
I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides.
I honor the place in you of love, of light, of truth, of peace.
I honor the place within you where if you are in that place in you and I am in that place in me, there is only one of us.
